Who We Are

Welcome to the Transdisciplinary Center for Health Equity Research at Texas A&M University!

What makes us unique, you may ask? As of today, we are the only center of this type housed in a college of education. Most fall under the auspices of medical and allied health schools (e.g., public health, nursing, social work). We think our home in Texas A&M University's Department of Health & Kinesiology, embedded with the College of Education & Human Development is an ideal fit for many reasons. A critical one is the strong association between educational disparities and health disparities! Where we see one, we see the other.

Health equity is what we strive for. Research, Education and Outreach is how we do it.

So please, peruse our website! Learn about our people, our projects and our products. It will give you some insight into how our hearts and minds work together toward achieving our aim of optimal health for all.

We are ready for a challenge...
