Dr. Lisa T. Wigfall has started her new position at MD Anderson Cancer Center as the Associate Director for the Cancer Prevention Research Program. She will co-director the CPRIT Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cancer Prevention Program. Congratulations on your new endeavor; you will be missed.

Ms. Alexander was elected to the Society of Public Health Education Board of Trustees. As a student trustee, Ms. Alexander will lay a significant role in advancing the health education profession. The student trustee is a one-year term position.  Congratulations Janae!!!!!

Nia White, former spring 2020 TCHER intern, works as the COVID-19 Case Investigator for the Community Organized Relief Effort. She is a team lead of two to conduct in-person testing, connect people affected by COVID-19 with resources, and contact tracing.

Dr. Idethia Shevon Harvey received the NIDDK grant proposal for her project, “The Study of Type-2 diabetes and the Rural Experience regarding Self-management behavior and Stress Project: The STRESS Project.”

Kaileigh Roan joins TCHER as doctoral students this Fall Semester. Kaileigh Roan received her Master of Education from Tarleton State University in Higher Education.
